HAPPY JULY 4 TO EVERYONE FROM AMISH STORIES
All-American Apple Pie
Combine dry ingredients. Add apples and lemon juice. Put half of the mixture into a pastry-lined pie pan. Dot with butter and add remaining filling. Top with crumbs. Bake at 375° F. for 35-40 minutes. 1 c. sugar
2 T. flour
1/2 t. cinnamon
1/4 t. nutmeg
1/4 t. salt
1 T. lemon juice
5 c. thinly sliced apples
2 T. butter
Crumbs:

1 c. flour
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 t. soda
1/4 c. margarine
